Private consultations are the best way to address problems you are having with your dog at home. They are more expensive than classes, but the assistance you get is tailored to you and your dog. You also have my undivided attention!
Online or in Person
Being able to see your dog doing what it is they do in their “natural environment” gives me the insight I need to give you the strategies you need to make changes for the better. If you’re local to Midland, Western Australia, I can visit your house. If you are further away, I offer online consulting: you just need to have a camera plugged in that you can point at your dog! 🙂
I consult on “naughty” and inconvenient dog behaviour. Here are some common issues:
- Toilet training failures,
- Excessive barking,
- Won’t let you groom them,
- Digging too much,
- Pulling on leash,
- Chewing on you,
- Chewing on your property,
- Not listening,
- Won’t sit still to put a leash / harness on..
And many more!
If you have a dog who is in emotional distress or is potentially dangerous to others, I will refer you on to a consultant or qualified Behaviourist who specialises in working on those issues.
Your initial consultation will last between 1.5 to 2 hours. In that time I will:
- Assess your dog’s history and the issues you are having
- Teach you basic training and communication skills (focussed on Positive Reinforcement, of course),
- Get you started on your training and advise on coping strategies.
After your first consult, you will get written, step-by-step instructions on your training exercises. I will follow up with you by phone, and then visit again at the end of the month. You can get in touch for help any time. If you need additional in-person help after one month, you can book individual one hour sessions.
These are great if you want to “pick my brains” or if you are further afield. They are booked on an hourly basis. You will need to be able to drive Zoom or Facebook video chats, and have the ability to video your dog.
